Madrone Springs Ranch

I've been to Madrone Springs Ranch for several daytime tours with family and friends. Several observations jump out: 1) the exotic animals like kangaroos, alpacas, turkeys and herds of African antelopes of different kinds are amazing and fun for everyone, both adults and kids. There's no end to the joy you can have while watching and following the animals. I'm a particular fan of the turkeys, but that's just me. 2) The meals are amazing, usually hand-cooked by the owners, who pride themselves on cooking that is both healthy and delicious. 3) The guest house and main lodge are immaculate; this shows the owners really care. Especially with family, Madrone Springs Ranch is a first-rate choice.

We had an absolutely amazing visit to Madrone Springs Ranch! The property is stunningly beautiful and feels wonderfully private and remote — the perfect escape from everyday life. The house is spacious and modern, spotless, and incredibly comfortable. Every detail makes it feel easy, welcoming, and relaxing. One of our favorite parts was seeing the interesting animals around the ranch — such a unique and memorable experience! Even though the home is so very nice, the outdoor space is truly the highlight. There is a gorgeous, clean creek that’s perfect for swimming, and the surrounding area is fantastic for hiking and exploring. It’s such a special place to unwind and connect with nature. Bobby and Gail Dubois are warm, friendly hosts who clearly take pride in sharing their incredible property with lucky guests. We felt so welcomed during our entire stay. Highly, highly recommend — we can’t wait to go back!

The property is gorgeous, the house is spacious, and the Dubois are great hosts. My family loved the animals, swimming in the creek, evening ATV drives, and sunsets.

Beautiful Hill Country exotic ranch wellness retreat! This modern yet traditional Bed and Breakfast on an exotic ranch is the definition of relaxation. Kangaroos, chickens, ducks, exotic deer; I even saw a bald eagle. Hosts are flexible to be available for tours & fine dining experiences; if you prefer privacy, it's also respected. We have made Madrone Springs Ranch a yearly family tradition - From Austin, less than an hour; but feels a world away. Thank you, Dr. Bobby & Gail.

Dr. Bobby and Gail's place is a real gem. I travelled there with my family from all over Texas and everyone agreed it was the best Airbnb we've stayed at. There is something for everyone - animals, ATVs, hiking, kayaking. Even on a rainy day we enjoyed hanging out at the house with incredible views of the hill country. This was such a unique experience and we can't wait to come back next year!

I've been fortunate enough to have been able to visit the Dubois on the ranch a number of times. Each visit has been filled with a different magic. Let me count the ways. First off, the property is stunning. There are shaded areas for picnicking, there are extensive trails for hiking, there are breathtaking views to be had - and the jewel in the crown is the flowing creek at the foot of the hills, which is cool, clean, swimmable, lengthy - I've spent a number of hot Texas afternoons paddling along with my kids, enjoying the geology and the gentle rocks you can climb and fall off. At night there is no light pollution - just you and the stars and your conversation -Wonderful. Then there are the animals. Happy chickens, curious alpacas, boisterous kangaroos, exotic horned gazelles and on and on. Just a wonderful experience to see them roaming on the land. What's better, you can interact and feed many of these animals and get a close up look to see how deeply they are cared for. The guest house is newly custom built and has breathtaking views over the valley - enormous fitness and cooking and relaxing areas, yet feels intimate and cozy - world class build quality. A royal treat. The Dubois are your hosts, and a more generous and interesting couple you couldn't hope to meet. They have a wellness mission both for themselves and their guests, and it shines through in the Ranch to Table home cooking you get to experience as well as the spa facilities. The Dubois twinkle with curiousity and can't wait to show you some interesting facet of the ranch, or the animals, or of a wellness trend, or secret recipe. They are well traveled and well storied - and it shines through in every interaction. Guests here are in for a very special once-in-a-lifetime type of experience that is spoken about for years to come. You're in the best of hands, and in one of the best places on earth. If you're fortunate enough to be able to experience it - you absolutely should treat yourself, your loved ones and your family. You'll be delighted you did as well as treated like the hero you are for finding such a hidden gem.

We have visited Madrone Springs Ranch 3 times and have our 4th trip booked for this summer. The first time was for a family reunion, and it was quite memorable. Gail and Bobby (owners) were very helpful and making the trip comfortable and memorable. Bobby and Gail's hospitality made us feel right at home, providing a warm, family-like atmosphere throughout our stay, and have even planned private chef experiences. The ranch is beautifully crafted by Bobby and Gail, nicely decorated and every bed mattresses and pillow selections make it a place to rest and reset. It's set amidst rolling hills with stunning, maintained landscapes that invite admiration right from the arrival gates to the hiking trails throughout the property. There's several activities whether it's enjoying breathtaking sunsets at Meditation Point with some bubbly, exploring the vast terrain in the Polaris, or encountering wildlife in their natural habitat. The swimming holes are perfect to swim and float in. Despite its secluded location, the ranch is conveniently located just 50 minutes from Austin and 20 minutes from the charming shops, restaurants, and grocery stores in Dripping Springs. The main ranch house is fully equipped for a comfortable stay, complete with a kitchen for home-cooked meals, a screened porch for relaxation, and views throughout. The ranch also supports remote work with fast Wi-Fi. Animal lovers will adore Maggie the dog, a delightful hiking companion, and Stormy the chicken guard, who is a joy to see every day. The daily interactions with the alpacas and the opportunity to collect eggs and feed the ducks added a unique touch to our stay. We were fortunate to join Gail and Bobby for many happy hours, feeling their passion for the ranch, the guests, and their projects. We also appreciated the fireside chat with Dr. Bobby on longevity. Additional amenities like a full gym, yoga studio, sauna, hot tub, chef experiences, and cold plunge. Madrone Springs Ranch is a place of beauty and tranquility, perfect for rejuvenating in nature. We are already looking forward to our next visit to this spectacular location.
